A Walk to Remember

The book i chose for my individual reading was A Walk to Remember. The main characters in this book are Landon and Jamie. Landon is pretty much the high school jock and Jamie who is the good little church girl. In the beginning of the book is about Landon, and how he gets in trouble at school so he is forced to participate in the schools drama play. Jamie is the head of the play and helps Landon with his lines. Landon and Jamie have been spending a lot of time together working on the play, but he likes to do it in hiding so his friends don't find out. Landon's friends would make fun of him for hanging out with Jamie. So, whenever Landon was with his friends and Jamie came around he would be mean to her. Landon and Jamie's families don't really get along. Landon father was a congressman, and Jamie's father was a priest at the local church. Since Landon ran for student President (and won) he needs to attend the school dance. He had recently broke up with his girlfriend and everyone he asked already had dates. His only option was Jamie. He had asked Jamie to go, and she said yes. She dressed like she did for every other occasion. A skirt with a blouse and no makeup. At the dance one of Landon's friends became sick and threw up, even though Jamie wasn't friends with her, she helped her through the whole thing. She was caring, and Landon still continued to be mean to her around his friends.
